"Blue Star hotel, which was an emergency booking at short notice after my original accommodation was cancelled owing to an electrical fault and the replacement hotel was not licensed for foreign guests, is a very short walk from Varanasi Junction and convenient for most of the city (which I was able to explore entirely on foot)."
